Gaddafi Stadium
About Gaddafi Stadium
Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore is Pakistan's most iconic cricket venue and the spiritual home of Pakistan cricket. Built in 1959, it hosted the historic 1996 World Cup quarter-final and the unforgettable 2017 PSL final — the first PSL match ever played on Pakistani soil. The stadium has undergone multiple renovations, most recently ahead of PSL 2020, adding modern floodlights and improved seating. With the Lahore Qalandars as its resident franchise, Gaddafi Stadium delivers an electric atmosphere on match nights. The roar of 27,000 fans under the Lahore sky is one of cricket's most intense experiences. Its batting-friendly pitch and heavy dew in evening matches make it a high-scoring venue that fans and broadcasters love.

Pitch Report
The Gaddafi Stadium pitch is a batting paradise in T20s. The surface is flat with true bounce and even carry, rewarding stroke-play. Heavy dew in the second innings makes chasing highly favorable — teams winning the toss overwhelmingly choose to field first. Spinners struggle for grip once the dew sets in.
